Time to move on from Cole Swider experiment

We need them both. Cole isn’t bad, I love how intense he plays. I wish it would rub off on some of the other players.

Cole is beyond soft with the ball. Never seen a 6-9 guy get stripped so much. At least 3 times a game minimum. His game was so promising to start the year early but he definitely gets too amped for games that aren’t Brown and Cornell and then can’t make a shot.

This HC wants every win we can get. He isn’t going to punt on the season for the future.
We should be trying to develop Benny but he won’t get minutes just to get them.

Swider can come back. If anybody should lose minutes it’s ISO Jimmy.

One thing to add about Swider, the ONLY time he runs back hard on defense is after he makes a shot.

He's the weakest player in the starting 5. I don't think we are any worse off if we play Benny and Anselem at the 3/4.

Seems like a good teammate and good kid just not good enough between the lines.

Im not suggesting he not play, just think it should be as a role player off the bench. Imo, it won't impact the trajectory of this season in the slightest and allows for crucial development of future pieces.

Being intense and not good looks dumb. You shouldn’t be screaming and hyped up then looking like a lunatic when you make your second shot out of nine tries while your team is down. When he makes a good defensive play and gets hyped over it maybe I’ll change my tune but he offers far less than Braswell ever did for us. I wonder what Bobby would be doing if he got 34 minutes a game with this roster.

He’s what we’ve got. When the rest of the guys mess up, they look like “oh golly, I wish I hadn’t uh done that, but gosh darn it I will try to do better next time.” At least Coke looks pissed off about it. I’ll take what I can get from this group of soft guys with no heart.

This is our squad. Between the nine of them, they have to figure out what they want out of this year. If they want to win games, they better start holding eachother accountable. Stop being nice and start pushing eachother. Someone needs to step up and lead. If a dude is lazy, someone has to get in his grill. If the coach won’t take his ass out of the game, then the players have to take it upon themselves.

Swider and Jimmy deserve to lose some minutes when they are off, provided Bennie can hold up his end and produce something on offense and rebound better. Or maybe go with three guards and get Symir in there a little more.

No doubt, start with Benny, if he’s not adding anything the go with the three guards. I really think we can do a lot with the three guard lineup on offense. If we do go three guards we can’t have Jimmy at the 5.

That's a silly assumption. There's no way to know what is happening behind the scenes, or what will happen in the future.

Are you watching the games? There is zero urgency. I don’t see any player taking on the leadership role for this team. Sherman would be killing these dudes, when he was a sophomore . DC would knock someone out.

Of course I'm watching the games, but I don't presume that I can ascertain everything that is happening from my seat in the Dome or sitting on my ass in my living room.

I get it, but it’s usually evident who the leader of the team is. I don’t see it on this team. I see guys screw up and just jogging off. If you don’t get that vibe from this team, that’s fine. Personally, I’ve been watching this team for forty years, and I have never seen a team with less accountability.
