You have to force them into zone by being aggressive on 1st down.. The idea is to dictate to the D what kind of alignment they will be in.. What that does is make our play calling to defeat what they are doing much easier instead of guessing. We have to force teams out of 7/8 in the box with man/single safety by making our quick passing game a threat with occasional shots deep. Once we get them off us.. guess what? we will be able to run a more efficient/effective O.The last drive success was due to NC State playing zone and giving up the underneath stuff. It just about cost them the game. Not sure why they did that.
