Abraham Lincoln HS boys basketball coach Dwayne Morton says he's likely coached his last game after team loses to Jefferson in PSAL semifinals

After the loss at LIU-Brooklyn, Morton, wearing a camouflage Seton Hall cap, was asked whether or not it was his final game coaching the Railsplitters.

“Yeah, I think so,” Morton said.

He later said he was going to announce his next move at a party on May 20. Asked specifically about his long-rumored move to Seton Hall, where two of his seniors — Isaiah Whitehead and Desi Rodriguez — will play next year, Morton said there’s a “good chance” he ends up at Seton Hall.

Absolutely bizarre situation in my opinion. It's not strange for a HS coach to want to become a college assistant, but to announce it before there is officially a vacancy at SHU is odd.

Not as strange as Morton publicly lobbying Lavin for a job last fall before the season started. Then stearing Whitehead to SH when Lavin wouldn't.

Hiring high school coach helped Seton Hall land star
The hiring as been unofficial since Sept.

Quid pro quo for delivering Whitehead. The NCAA has no problem with this kind of shady "bribery" but they throw the book at you for offenses like buying a hungry recruit a hamburger or giving a player a plane ticket home to attend the funeral of a loved one.

The point of NCAA is to make others rich. Not the athletes. Duh.
