Today's George Morris PS article

He is a troll just don't click on his crap.

He mentioned Purdue for Christs sake. Babers isn't leaving Syracuse for Purdue. Bud is an idiot just for including Purdue in the article.

But certainly a 6-6 Babers could get calls from the Arizona's and UCLA's of the world (both places he's coached at for longer stretches).

Couldn't blame him if UCLA calls. Arizona/Tucson? Meh.

He spent 6 years there and Tomey had an influence on him. I am sure he has a fondness for the school. I bet that would be his "dream job."

I don't think any of the big boys come calling for Babers. I don't think he bothers with another project P5 school. So he would need a decent school that isn't in the shitter. UCLA and Arizona both fit that.

I hope UCLA finishes the season out strong so they don't can Mora. Babers would be a strong candidate there.

Always thought he ran tough even if he never broke out the way I had hoped. Seems like he could've brought some toughness to our inside run game this year if he had been healthy.

I don't have time to dig up the thread, but I remember a discussion over what happens when we have success under Babers:

- local press start asking when he leaves
- fans freak out
- rinse, repeat

We have this CNY/Syracuse pessimism that says good things will not last "Winter is coming" ... even when we've had the same HoF basketball coach for 40 years.

Sometimes, people like it here and want to stay. Let's wait for real rumors to freak out.

I think we're his Baylor, minus huge scandal.

I was there last weekend. It's a basketball school. Why would he go to one of those? ;)

Here's an idea. Let's talk about the feel good story about our senior running back that is putting the team first instead of complaining about taking a role that is beneath what he anticipated when he was younger.

Keep the Babers leaving/staying talk elswhere.

Indeed. But isn't there a lesson here? As much as some slam syracuse.com for not writing enough "positive" stories, once there is one people can't wait to hijack the thread and talk about Bud's piece.

Go figure.

I doubt Dino has a 'dream job'. There's a program or two he might idolize because of his youth but as an army brat and a journeyman coach i doubt he has a 'dream' college job.

He probably aspires to win a national championship, where it’s at doubtfully matters.

Do you think any assistant coach who’s spent 6 years at Syracuse thinks of Syracuse as their dream job?
