Tommy Devito: Giants

and how does this compare to what McCord does?

The number of passes over 10 yds for McCord is the same as Devito’s year at Illinois. About 33%. Difference is McCord completes more. Quality and number of good receivers probably play at least a small role.

How about 20 yards? He was still asked to do more at SU from the games I watched.

I’ll check later. But my initial response was in reply to safe easy passes only.

I think ILL had a much better run game, so teams schemed that first as well which made the safe pass windows much easier to hit.

ILL was much more play action, look deep. check down.

Our offense is much more quick short pass centric and slant throws into smaller windows.

Yep. We were (under Dino and still are) more dependent on the QB to be a playmaker. Sometimes people have to look beyond the numbers.

You're overthinking it.

That said, surprised you went with moonshiner and not couch burner.
Dude throws are admin under the bus on his way out just because we did not have a Dutch philanthropist ready to drop a massive bag on day 2 of NIL being a thing. He ain't orange.

Devito knows the system and is a capable backup. They are not bringing him in to be a starter.
He is in no way a "capable backup". It's an unserious move for an unserious franchise.

Lol it would be awesome if Aaron Rodgers actually signs with the Giants.
Raiders made a smart move. A serviceable QB with a couple of weapons. Now they can address their future QB if they don't want Aidan in the draft, and move on from him for picks.

So with Raiders off the table, Rodgers destinations are shrinking. Giants are one of them.

I don't see Tennessee taking a flier on him. Can't see Seattle either.

Minnesota? Maybe.

Does he demand that Adams comes along with him wherever he goes?

Giants might as well bite it and add him and Adams.

Would be glorious wreak havoc on both teams...lol

This is the playbook I wish Brissette followed with the Celtics. Too bad his moron agent turned down guaranteed $ to stick another year with the C's.
