I’m just here to say that I also have a high degree of animosity for Tommy devito.
He was atrocious here and then left to play for poopy ahh Illinois.

Trubisky went 11-3, 8-7, and 6-3 in three consecutive seasons. How is saying he's clearly better than Devito "saying things I don't mean to get an argument going"?

Its the characterization as a 4th string QB is what made your comment stirring the pot. Yes he's 4th string, but the Giants roster is a bit of anomaly with two bridge QBs in Winston and Russell, along with a first round pick. Most other rosters Tommy would be fighting for a backup role. Not behind two first rounders and Russell Wilson who not what he used to be, still a serviceable bridge QB.

I said fighting for backup making him a 3rd string guy or practice squad. Your Characterization makes him sound like a complete scrub, he won a few games in 2023, beating a solid green bay team. Idk if he makes an active roster beginning of the season, but I could easily see him signing onto one by mid season

Some of these teams, like the Giants, who have multiple capable QBs down the depth chart, should be looking to move Winston and DeVito for draft capital to teams like Pittsburgh, Jets, Vikings, Jags, Saints, etc.
Because those two guys are better than what those teams have as QB 2/3 currently.
Winston probably could start for a couple of teams and do better than their current starters.

I wouldn't even attempt to put words in Bnoro's mouth, but after watching every Giants game since 1970, I feel entitled to my opinion. I would go Russell QB1 and Dart QB2. See how the season goes after 2,4, or 6 games, and that will determine when and if Dart becomes QB1. See what trade value Devito or Winston brings. Ideally, Winston should bring more, but it's possible, but unlikely that Devito gets traded and then Winston gets cut. But I think Devito is on the taxi squad again and Winston is elsewhere.

Agreed. Winston is terrible. In his last 4 seasons as a starter he's been benched 3 times because he doesn't stop turning it over.

DeVito might be on an active roster week 1. He’s better than a lot of the junk QBs out there.
Year 4 is when you have to pay a Vet for full year. This is still an ‘option’ year for him.
And Tommy will also not be on Giants practice squad. That means nothing more than that they have 3 active arms already, no need for a 4th. Use that spot on another OL or DB or whatever.
Wilson and Dart split repeats with the 1s & 2s.
Winston gets the scout team.
