I would’ve preferred a team like SDSU, Baylor, or Oregon. A Q1 opportunity that was more feasible. However, your take is absolutely correct. I was dreading this team drawing UNLV or Rutgers where a win doesn’t help you and a loss crushes you. This is better than playing Rutgers in a no win situation. At minimum it helps our SOS.
lol all these teams playing tough out of conference games, Su finally joined them after play cupcake city. Doesn’t mean anything unless you win some
Deja vu?This team is going to be .500 in a week
Everyone does realize that it is possible to win 13-14 games in the current ACC. Sometimes it takes teams longer to gel, especially in this NIL era. We have two Freshmen playing key minutes that should get better with experience. How many times have we seen non-Syracuse teams go on huge runs in conference play to go from mediocre to squarely in the tournament?I think it's pretty clear that we absolutely need to find a way to beat either Iowa State or Tennessee...we're 2 losses away from our signature out of conference achievement being ~potentially~ beating St. Josephs...we'd have to go 12-6 in the ACC to even be considered at that point
The ACC isn’t a gauntlet, but it’s a good bit better than last year. Outside of 2 or 3 teams at the bottom like BC, there are a lot of competitive squads. Only Duke and Louisville are probably realistically winning 13 or 14+ games in conference this year.Everyone does realize that it is possible to win 13-14 games in the current ACC. Not every team is at their A game in November. In other words, everyone needs to relax about "must pull an upset" games in November. Let's start with first avoiding an upset against us and build from there.
Our road schedule is ridiculous. We get all the weaker teams at home. The ACC isn’t a gauntlet, but it’s a good bit better than last year. Definitely. As I remember we had the reverse last year, but weren't good enough to take advantage of it.Our road schedule is ridiculous. We get all the weaker teams at home.
You're awesomeThis team is going to be .500 in a week
Got it. I guess I'm skeptical of saying that game #7 is a "must win". But I agree that losing would be very bad.
And if we win a few of those road games, even against middle of the pack teams, they’ll be Q1 wins. Our road schedule is ridiculous. We get all the weaker teams at home.
