Tony Fiammetta's signing bonus and 2014/2015 salary

Pretty good living to play football and earn 700k a year being a FB playing maybe 20-25 plays a game.

Except half goes to Uncle Sam and agents. Hope he squirrels as much away as possible and is ready for a 2nd career post football.

thats 1 of the worst contracts ive ever seen. $0 in 2014 and $0 in 2015 is guaranteed.

little chance he sees all of his $1.4 mil. and could very well see $0.

You think they signed him to an extension and will cut him before the season starts? I suppose you could be right. Keep him out of free agency in the offseason for $150,000 and then decide if they want to keep him once the roster for next season takes shape.

its so cheap that they more than likely wont cut him for $. but he plays a dying position. they may feel they dont want to carry a FB.

the contract isnt exactly what it seems.

so he got the league minimum.

which is basically the standard FB contract.

thanks for sharing.

He's been in the league for 4 years, so he's already grossed over $1 million. If he's smart with it, it'll give him a better jump start than 95% of the population toward what he wants to do post football. If he's frugal and lives in an area with low cost of living, with some good investment he may even be able to live off of what he makes in the NFL.

The most important thing, I believe, is that four years in the league gets him fully vested in the retirement plan.
