This could mean Edwards is wavoring? Davis I think they picked up to be a return specialist.weird. lot of RB drama.
No, it means they are lining up backup offers just in case. It's probably a non-committal offer just in case someone doesn't.This could mean Edwards is wavoring? Davis I think they picked up to be a return specialist.
weird. lot of RB drama.
Not sure I understand why you think it's drama?
We were told one recruit committed by the scouting services, then he himself and then his father on the forum. Then the scouting services and the PS.com starting backtracking and it's been radio silence from from both him and his father.
We had a recruit from Texas receive and offer, claim he wanted to commit only to find out he can't get in touch with anyone from the coaching staff.
We have 1 downstate recruit who we really want and could potentially help bring in another top DE recruit.
We have another downstate recruit that people are unsure if we really want him or not.
We have a "record breaking "recruit rb commit as a LB.
All the while new recruits are receiving offers and a RB commit arriving in the fall may have issues with separated shoulders.
Not sayings its all negative "drama" just alot of stuff going on.
Please get a Pheobus pipeline going it's hands down the best program in the state of Virginia.
That's why your the man
Here's a little more of Mr. Pittman just for you.

Well it came from 3 different scouting services, the kid himself, a poster claiming to be his father and the PS. It's not like it was 1 guy claiming to hear something. And since when are scouting services gospel? It's not the first time they have gotten this kind of thing wrong, and it causes problems.

As I understand it there is no such thing as a binding verbal offer anyway. That is why you see all these 3 star recruits from major programs scambling at the end trying to find a home as they are told thay don't have a spot there. Alabama did it to 3 kids last year, Auburn had about the same, LSU was even worse dropping 5 they had offered. I'll see if I can find the article, I admit I may have the numbers wrong, but it is pretty coomonplace for larger programs to offer a renig on that offer. What I don't have is if there was a legitimate reason for it, such as academics or potential troubled kids coming into the program. I am sure there are some of those, but it is in the benefit to a program to lock kids in and then have the option one way or the other to go another direction. That is what I like about DM, he doesn't pull the chain on kids. Can't remember his name, but he was a 4 star out of PA last year that had Cuse on his high list and DM let him know they were going in a different direction.Sounds like regular football stuff to me and people draw a lot of conclusions with little or no information. Do you know if these alleged offers are written, verbal, contingent on certain conditions? Do you know if they actually 'have' offers?
Does it really seem logical that a kid with an alleged offer who wants to commit can't get in touch with the staff? really?
Of course new recruits are receiving offers. This is the time of season when most all the evaluations occur.
McFarlene and seperated shoulder issues? Kid got hurt in an all-star and this is why playing in all star games suck. I'm personally hoping Emerich bails on the Big33 game. But issues, plural? It's the first time the kid has been hurt and injuries are part of the game.

I always assumed schools made scholarship offers in writing. As I understand it there is no such thing as a binding verbal offer anyway.
Offering seems to be the easy part of recruiting. Its convincing a kid that a quarter million dollar ride to Syracuse University to play some sport is something they should jump on like the cheerleader in their high school or the foxy French teacherwho propsitions him with a "parlez vous francais"?

Charles might not quite have an offer that is 'committable' at this time. These things happen. Mis-understanding or mis-communication happens. The PS reported it as alleged but didn't run with the story. Scowt ran with the rivels report. The rivels report wasn't necessarity wrong as they reported what they were told. I just don't believe MrDavis has a written offer which he can commit to (at this time.) I'm speculating of course but that's what I'm getting out of all this. Nolan's followup article seemed to me to come from the football wing - maybe a little damage control so as not to alarm a couple of other prospects. I personally think there's a handful of other kids right now waiting on the decision of a couple of other kids.
I laughed that you actually listed a ["record breaking "recruit rb commit as a LB] as one of your issues. You haven't been around that long have ya?
The Texas kid is FOS. He doesn't have an offer.
Weren't you one of the dudes going crazy in April because we didn't have commits yet?

This. Someone spoke before they should have.
Couldn't agree more with you. Alot of guys blast you for quoting from these sites, yet that is where the information is coming from. Sounds a bit condescending to me! LOLAnd without those sites, this place wouldn't even exist.

Syracusefan existed before Rivals or Scout did.
