Top 10 ACC NFL Draft prospects

Unless some switch flips this season, his draft stock is going to plummet. You can only say "defenses are selling out to stop him" so many times before it gets old. Defenses were selling out last year as well once coaches had tape on him.

My hope is that this is injury-related and he'll regain his explosiveness when he's had a couple weeks to rest.
Tucker didn't forget how to run. Scouts look at more than numbers. They'll be able to see that he has had less room to run this year. Last night he had a number of runs where he eluded guys or slipped tackles just to get a short to medium gain. And he was consistently difficult to take down, almost always falling forward after contact. He needs to clean up a few things and as they alluded to last night on the broadcast, he may be pressing and just needs to not try so hard.

I have to disagree with your observations. Seems this year that Tucker goes down easy compared to last year. Not running through tackles at the LOS and getting stopped for 1-2 yards. Last night he was caught from behind a couple times behind the LOS by LBs or DEs crashing down the line in our backfield.

I saw a couple times what looked like at least a small hole to the side, but he cut the other way straight up into the pile for nothing.

Yes, there are not a lot of gaping holes (insert Chip and Millhouse jokes here) this season, but his vision and performance are just plain off right now.

I also think his pass routes are run too deep most times. By the time Shrader gets the ball out the defender has recovered and Tucker is too tight to the sidelines and needs a perfectly thrown ball. Although that one wheel route and catch was really good. More screens, pitch outs and flat routes please.

I disagree with your first paragraph. There were multiple plays last night he had two guys on him and fell forward for yards. On other plays he pushed the pile. When he got caught from behind, it wasn't because he was slow, it was because he was hesitating.

I agree with your second which I think is somewhat caused by what you mentioned in your third. The holes aren't there consistently, so he's looking for cut backs and hesitating or waiting for something to open up, allowing pursuit to get there. That's different than being caught from behind while running at full speed.

I don't know about the pass routes. I don't know the play design. If he's too deep and defenders are recovering, maybe that means Shrader needs to throw it earlier. If he's told to run a wheel route down the sideline he can't just slow down or stop running.
