I'm sure Syracuse will begin producing NFL WRs with this offense, but devil's advocate is:

1. If the offense can make pretty much any WR look good, the top WRs won't actually stand out as much.
2. The route tree these guys run here don't really prepare them for the NFL. If we get the right prospect in terms of physical attributes, he'll get NFL looks for sure, but scouts will certainly hold the system against prospects.

Yup. And Reggie Bush actually had a good career. He had multiple seasons of 1300-1500 rushing/receiving yards combined. A lot of those other guys had very good seasons early on and then flamed our.

I want Erv and Ish to have NFL careers - as it would be great for them and good for the program. But to be honest, I don’t really care if the production is a result of the system or of talent or even what the ratio is. The production is the production, and they’ve been great.

Plus, say what you want - but they will get more of a look from NFL scouts than they would in a meathead offense.
