Good idea, but how many coaches will want to wait 6-weeks to start filling the pantry? The big time talent will be gone before that combine. It’ll be great for the next level of guys who played at mid majors or didn’t get much PT at their P4 schools.

So some agents get a bunch of leftover portal players that haven’t found a home to attend their “combine” and take 10-20% when they sign with a school…..seems like it benefits the agents.

In this day and age, everything benefits the agents. Welcome to the NIL era my friend.
I mean the big time talent doesn’t need to - and likely wouldn’t - attend such an event.
It’s for the guys that are slipping through the cracks. Idk if it’s really that useful tbh but the big fish are not the target here.

Similar to NBA combine. A guy like Fennell who doesn't have game tape would benefit here. Some guys without game tape transfer down a level, just to dominate and transfer back up the next year. William Kyle was 3rd string at UCLA and wasn't sure a Power Conference team would take him for his Senior year, but something like this definitely would have helped him.
Everyone good will already have spots…
