I do hope/would assume there's a big man that were quietly pursuing though because the only one we're known to have contacted that is still available is the guy from SFA.

Oh, I’ll be back. I figured we’d know reasonably soon what next season looked like. Well, here we are. It’s not rosy. Just being honest.

It’s literally one week. You are on the island claiming it’s a failed off season one week in. Then you talk up BH denying us yet he’s got 3 players and isn’t leading with their bigger targets and their pivots are a lot weaker than what we are looking at.

How many great additions did BH add so far? He’s got a roster with 3 guys on it and PC isn’t leading for anymore big names instead looking at guys like the undersized PG from NW . You always just come here to doom cast complain and then dissapear. It’s like clockwork.

I’m thinking we’re still heavily exploring Euro options for PG/C (i.e. Mara at UM or the whole Illinois team). I only ChatGPT’d this so take it with a grain of salt, but a lot of good euro prospects uncommitted or potential flips (i.e. Michigan’s 2026 committed Center if he wants immediate PT). I believe there are even some Slovenians out being scouted like a certain 7’+ Center.

I think those take a bit longer paperwork/regulation wise if rumor is true that the Euro clubs get a piece of the NIL share (i.e. soccer transfer fees). Also a good way to beat the U.S. transfer market inflation on some of these guys who aren’t world beaters.

Still a lot of time left to construct the roster - BREATH!

It’s the truth. Someone I respect on McAllister’s board called this our least talented roster in decades. Our PG averaged 8 ppg last year. Our only center is from Siena and was injured last year. We have no idea whether White and Anthony can elevate their games. Huge assumption.

All you are doing is playing straw man and pushing an invalidated personal assumption as being fact. Making assertions and claims then demanding others correct you when you haven’t offered a single bit of objectivity to your assertions. Freeman was charmin soft all year and likely not 100 pct so there isn’t much debating against White plus he has a higher ceiling than Donnie.

Every single addition is better on the ball with ball security than the guys they are replacing. Every single addition is better defensively so far except maybe vs Kingz but it’s close.

People want big P5 names to make them feel better I guess. Just like they seem to prefer to believe Norlander than others who’ve countered that amount.

Yes, Cuseguy is being a doom and gloomer, but I think some skepticism is warranted. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. We clearly have solid NIL but not upper echelon NIL. Gmac is really going to have to prove himself as a head coach, and I think that’s possible with what he showed at Siena. But it’s not a guarantee, which is why I wanted a proven guy like Schertz and even Hodgson. I wouldn’t be so quick to disparage Hodgson, btw. I think he will do very well at Providence but probably won’t be there too long.

It’s still very early, and we’ll see how this all plays out. I’m cautiously optimistic. It also might take a couple of years to get this going. I just want to see Gmac prove himself as a good system builder, motivator, and in-game coach at this level. If he has some success, more talent will flow in and our NIL will grow.

I’m familiar and with who that likely poster is. Skepticism is fair too but I think there’s a balance to be objective here and even that middle ground pushes hard against the doom and gloom. Also if Gerry was pursuing the list of visits BH is getting right now we would be livid.

Euro makes too much sense for a big man. Not saying I guarantee we go that route but it would be the logical move here especially with already at least one assistant coach on staff if not more very familiar with the options overseas.

NM got Buljan cheap last year and he wasn’t some likely star out of the gate just a nice prospect who was a bit older that put up solid youth numbers.

Gerry has between 10 and 12 million. Hodgson wouldn't have had near that. Plus, Hodgson didn't feel wanted at Syracuse like he did at P.C.. Perhaps he would have been better served not talking to a Hall of Fame coach
