Trap Game

This needs to be a game where GS can sit in the pocket and get the passing game tuned up. If he has to run every game he'll be sporting his pirate peg leg for Halloween.

Attendance will be up from the first Two weeks for sure. That said if anyone is expecting 40K+ for Army at Noon it's not being realistic
Based on TM chart the ticket sales are well ahead of last two games, I think with a strong week of sales , 40 (announced ) is possible. By the way , was it you or heater that predicted we would have 10k no shows vs NC State last year. That the announced sellout was bogus .

I think we both did, SU did better in that NC State game then I thought they/we would but it clearly wasn't an actual sell out but definitely up there.

I think we get can get up to uppper 30K's actual buts in seats which would be a big improvement because despite the announced its been no where close to that. The noon kick hurts, if this got that CW 430 or whatever kick time I think your talking another couple thousand of tickets at least.

Fair , the visitor lower sideline is not doing well, I just don’t think people want to pay 121.00 to see us play army, seats in. the upper deck seem to be moving.

I am scared to death of this game. I remember Army nearly upsetting Oklahoma in Norman not too long ago. I hope our team comes out ready to play from the opening whistle. If you give Army any crevice, they will find a way. Please shut them down early snd take control. Do not let them make it a game.

I remember that too, in 2018, but I also remember them losing to Wake by 5 TDs just last year. Army is disciplined and won’t beat themselves but when the backup QB for UTSA can throw 3 long TD passes on them, I am not worried, they can’t compete with our athleticism

They Army play mean, (not dirty). They will slap you in the face with their aggressiveness, every down will be a war. They will intimidate and get into your head trying to force you to back down. Be timid, un focused and you will surely lose.

They are going to get destroyed.

You are correct, Army will play aggressive and will not quit until the final whistle. That said, the talent and physical size belong to Syracuse. The coaches will keep the team focused. SU wins, Army puts up a fight but is outclassed.

Definitely both of us on that one

And we were in fact correct

Syracuse sold all of its allotted tickets so technically a sell out

However they sold several thousand to ticket brokers who didn’t move the tickets which left sections looking pretty empty.

The point spread certainly caught my eye but i think this team is too talented offensively and Rocky Long certainly isn’t doing a Scott Shafer and hiring a triple option specialist a la GT. I think we have enough upperclassmen leaders and in year 8 Babers has stabilized the program to the point where we shouldn’t have to be too concerned about this game. Again, the only thing that makes me slightly nervous is the point spread.

I truly think the spread is because they can limit the possessions of opponents.

The point spread is predicting roughly a 31-17 SU victory. If our receivers let us down and don't catch a couple TD passes, then that's a pretty good prediction for what would be a "ground war". But if our receivers show us anything at all next week, then we add a couple touchdowns to that score.

I was thinking add a tuddy for us and subtract one for them and we’re on point, but i’m not going to disagree with the sportsbooks

Im not sure what game you were at but the game I was at was packed. I saw very few empty seats , so in fact you were absolutely wrong .

This is how all of the corners looked

It was a large crowd without a doubt…

A sell out per Syracuse University, yes, they sold their allotted tickets

This photo is of the top few rows of the sideline for that game…

Like I said, a really big crowd.

Was it a sell out for Syracuse University? Yes.

However, I know, without a doubt, that syracuse sold out its final few thousand ticket to brokers. Those brokers didn’t move the tickets. There was whole rows available on the secondary market (this is indicative of broker sales).

It’s okay that Syracuse did that, it’s very very common. It’s also a good sign that Syracuse was able to do it, it means the brokers thought they could make money on the tickets.

Ha , you were saying there would be 8 to 10 k no shows/empty seats, some people just don’t have the ability to just say “I was wrong. Yes tickets were at Stub Hub and others and even most of those were sold in the last 48 hours. If you think those small patches in the corner come to 10k then good for you .

Point spreads are not predictions of the outcomes of games.

Yes, technically, that's the midpoint to balance bets on either team.
But if you think the point spread exists without respect to saying who is favored to win, then why have one at all?
