I think the QB flux has a little to do with this, too.

If McCord is back, I think there's no question that Pena is back.

So be it - I think skill position talent depth is as good as we have had it since the McNabb years, IMO.

I also think Darrell Gill, a healthy Justus Ross-Simmons and Emmanuel Ross, along with Tyshawn Russell and the freshman Johnson, we have a good group of 5 receivers with high upside. Not to mention the freshmen coming in. Not sure if any will be game ready, but WR is a spot you can get on the field early.

What in the hell. That’s a shocker. Must have got a big offer somewhere. Guess it’s a good thing we are really deep in WR room. Man I really hate the new college football world. Kid is injury riddled his whole career and Syracuse sticks with him. New coach comes in and he has a healthy/breakout year. Then he bolts his last head after Fran has been hyping him up and naming him captain. Hate it

Fran was so high on him too. That is what makes this so surprising and probably a surprise to the staff as well.

Yeah, this is a bummer. And also, not.

I'd say WR is the deepest spot on the entire roster, and we will fill that spot with another talented dude.

I kinda understand his thinking - with Kyle gone, his #'s may take a dip this season.
And, I really don't think he's an NFL talent, so this is likely his last chance to really ca$h in on some big NIL.

Gotta imagine somebody reached out to him with a "Godfather offer" that he just couldn't refuse.
