Will draw a little bit away from downtown, but just another reason for people to come to and enjoy Saratoga. By all accounts, this place will do phenomenal.

That location kind of sucks but I agree it should do well. Wonder how the track crowd will take to it?

I think it's a great alternative to downtown. You just can't walk to it. Although I can see myself, and a lot of others, going there after a round of golf at the State Park, or before a concert at SPAC, or after a nice five mile walk down and through Avenue of the Pines.

Track people will go there, especially if they have some live music after the track and if they are showing horse racing on their TV's.

It looks like they only serve Pizza, from it looks like on their website, but I guess they know their business model.

The to go aspect opened up a few months ago and has been doing really well from what I heard. I make a few trips down to the original location in Charlton each year so it will be nice to have this one closer. It's not going to have everything the ones in Mass will have but sounds like about half which even then should be more than enough. It's going to do a ton of business, glad to see the inside open now because the first few months it will be a mob scene.

Tree house doesn't do much in the way of food at most of their locations. They have food trucks at the original/OG location and the Deerfield and other locations have pizza etc. Tree House has expanded into the coffee market, non alcoholic seltzers and canned cocktails the last few years all of which they do well. They also have a rotating set of frozen and specialty drinks they offer for their onsite consumption drinks which are fantastic and are super popular in the summer/fall.

They do some stuff differently which locals may not be aware of. They don't have TV's at their locations at least the ones I have been at. Perhaps Saratoga will be different but that's not their MO. They do have live music occasionally and try to do big outdoor sections if the space allows (see Charlton location). They are also big on onsite consumption limits especially on the weekend. People who aren't familiar are gonna be in for a shock when they can only get two beers most weekends and 3 during the week.

Edit - They do actually have TV's but its usually confined to a specific area versus being numerous throughout the Tap room.

The photographs are very revealing that they put a lot of work into the Tree House and the modern look of the establishment - looks really good to me.

That's too bad about the TV's and the consumption limit. I remember going to Common Roots in Glens Falls/Queensbury with a bunch of people for dinner, and it was right in the middle of CFB season, and nothing on TV. I guess that's not the audience they are looking for.

I was incorrect on that, they do have TV's it's just usually confined to usually one area of the brewery which is why it slipped my mind at first. They should have some at Saratoga actually think I saw one in the article. Charlton for example as a separate bar that usually sells coffee style drinks and there' an enormous projection TV in there that I can remember catching sports on a few times. The one thing with tree house though with the consumption limits and crowds it's not really a great place to watch a game. You'd be better off watching off your phone if your there or heading over post game.

Is it down near the Bunker?
No. It's on Rt 9 before you get into Saratoga. Between Homewood Suites and Saratoga Honda. Was a driving range for a million years and then sat vacant for like ten years.

It's a spot I would hit up 9 months a year but not during track season, I am just not going over there
