Trey Deere Injury

I heard that White failed a drug test for a substance he didn't know about and is suspended, which I can neither confirm nor deny the nature of that, as for Hunter, I think he transferred but I'm not sure.

Donny Scott got hurt playing box again and will miss yet another season, that I do know because I saw him on campus.
Hunter is at OCC, I would guess academic issues, but I don't truly know.

it may of been said previously n I missed it. But what happen to koby white n chrishawn hunter ? Did they transfer out ? Mean koby had nice size n whatever tapes i saw he seemed to have some skill. Also stinks to hear bout cam ryan. I hope we are completely done with any n all injuries. Also how is donny scott this year ? Vaguely remember someone mention he may gotten hurt again tho hope not. If anyone can shed any light on these players much appreciated.

2027 class was super unimpressive. Hopefully 2028 we can get a top 5 class to replace the seniors.

27 class was good but we didnt get the multiple high end attack recruits we needed. I like @.# of guys we did get including a couple of real good looking middies, the Canadian A/M and the goalie obviously.

Sucks. Was hoping it somehow wasn’t true or exaggerated in some way. Hoping he will make a full mental and physical recovery. Hate to see a younger player get off track like this. Reminds of the Hiltz injury although the circumstances are obviously different. Hopefully he uses his fifth year as he could be an important piece after this season.

The '21s have sometimes clouded my view of the team's future. While the classes below them weren't as star studded in the aggregate, there's still a lot of talented and highly rated underclassmen. Coaching is going to be extremely important. Can't automatically assume Deere fully recovers, but there's still going to be a lot of talent the next few seasons.

Who are the 3-4 guys you’re most excited about. Also what’s the name of the Canadian you’re referring to? I need to check the class out again on insidelaxc

The substance of Brent's story:

Syracuse University men’s lacrosse player Trey Deere will likely miss the 2026 season due to injuries sustained in a car accident last month, sources confirmed to syracuse.com.

The extent or details of Deere’s injuries are not clear, but his recovery time could necessitate taking a redshirt year.

The accident took place prior to the start of SU’s spring semester on the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory (Ontario), where Deere is from.

Syracuse University has declined to answer questions about Deere when asked directly by syracuse.com.

Inside lacrosse was first to report the news.

Deere, a junior attackman, played in all 19 games last season for the Orange, scoring 19 goals with two assists.

He played a key role on SU’s man-up unit, scoring seven extra-man goals which tied for eighth in the country last season.

Deere was in line to play a bigger role on the left side of SU’s attack this season with senior Joey Spallina running the show behind the cage at the “X” slot and Finn Thomson solidified on the right spot.

SU has an opening on the left attack with the graduation of dynamic scorer Owen Hiltz, who had 239 career points with the Orange.

Sophomore Payton Anderson, who started four games last season, could be in line for that spot now.

Senior Michael Leo, SU’s third-leading scorer last season, playing both attack and midfield is an option for the Orange as well.

Deere is one of several Orange players proficient in box lacrosse.

Deere was recently a Bronze medalist with the Haudenosaunee at the World Lacrosse Box Championships in Utica.

Feel for deere. He’s always been a really nice kid and cool to me once he committed in 2023. He immediately responded thanking me for welcoming him.

He’s super crafty and is a good player who can score. It’s unfortunate but I have faith he will be back.

But I would be lying to you if I said I wasn’t incredibly excited for bears opportunity. I’m a huge fan of him. I expect he’ll have a big year. He had a very nice freshman outing in limited PT.
