Any camp invite prospects?
Trey is pursuing the CFL. He has the Free Agent combine on May 8th.
Get it done! Orange nation is still 100% behind Trey and his wonderful family!
It's been an honor to have you and Trey be part of this community. You've both done well to survive and thrive during a tumultuous time of life. We're all hoping the best for Trey and expect good things from and for him. Please let him know there are many of us that are pulling for him. All that good karma can't hurt. You are all very kind. He will give his best and see how it shakes out. Thank you !!

It looks like Trey will be playing in Germany in 2014 for the Saarland Hurricanes in the 1st Division of GFL. He is pretty excited about it. Injuries so far have healed and he will get to play some professional football. It certainly is not the NFL or even CFL, but it is pretty good football in a league considered the best in Europe and (although certainly not on the same scale) the 3rd best pro league in the world. He will also get to coach (he loves that, coached 7th grade this past fall) with their youth team.
There are no JH, HS or college teams. You basically play from flag all the way up for the team in your city, if they have one. They pay for all your expenses with a salary. I believe Andrew Robinson played in Spain after leaving SU.
I hope you all had a Christmas, this was great for our family. What an amazing experience this will be. God Bless and GO ORANGE !

Bit of quick research result. The GFL season appears to kick off in early May and end with the German Bowl in mid October. There is an 8 team North and 8 team South division. Treys team finished 5th in the Southern league last season. GFL team nicknames put the NFL to shame. Some of my personal favorites are the Unicorns, Mercinaries, Scorpions, and Phantoms all of whom reside in the South division.
Saarland appears to be Eastern Germany just over the border from France and a stones throw away from Luxembourg as well as the Black Forest area where I've always wanted to visit.
They got a new coach and he wants to score points is what he said. Got a solid RB from Northern Arizona too. Trey will do all the returns and play some safety too possibly. He's excited.
That is what we are hearing too !! It is exciting, got the playbook today and he's excited. Thank you guys for the support. We will always be Orange. He considers leaving a big regret regardless of the family reasons he came home.Jerry...he is going to be playing in a gorgeous area of Germany. I really recommend he start learning German. It can only but help him...after Football it might even help him get a job. BTW, if he runs into any German D-1 caliber players have him contact the staff...Coach Shafer likes hardnosed Krauts like himself.
At the very least he should be able to find us a kicker in Germany.Jerry...he is going to be playing in a gorgeous area of Germany. I really recommend he start learning German. Although only one year, he still is proud of the time he spent there.
He had some nice extra spaceI feel bad they did not mention Syracuse, but I thought some of you may be interested.
