Triche's Floater

Bilas said it all last year and I'm surprised he didn't say it last night

Triche has the ability to be the best player on this team.

He has a good stroke and is a good ball handler and has great vision, he doesn't make too many "bad scoop-esque" plays out there, and hits his free-throws. He is far more athletic than he appears and can certainly take over a game

only thing that is stopping him is himself, and its great to see a different player each game step up and think "wow if he really starts to get it we are unstoppable"

We might not win the NC this year, but we wouldn't even be in the argument without Scoop Jardine. We need all three of our guards to play well to win this year. The fact that some fans are so quick to align themselves with one or two of the three guys is sort of ridiculous.

That was an admirably diplomatic response to another ignorant claim.

yep, Scoop is the straw that stirs the drink. All the guards have their own strengths, but Scoop is the best playmaker and by far is the best at finding Fab in position to get buckets. If Fab is going to continue to be a sort-of low post threat, he needs Scoop in the game to make it happen (Scoop set him up on 3 of his 4 buckets last night)

Nice to see the basketball gods even things out after Swopshire made that crazy tear drop/floater over Fab. That was a great up and under move by Triche while being surrounded by two Cardinals.

I am easily the only reason Scoop stayed on the bench and coach went with Triche down the stretch last night.

I called into the JB show last week and told Jimmy I thought if he put Brandon in down the stretch we would have won without overtime. (paraphrasing here)

Simply stated with CJ's shot being off I felt against the zone BT's better shot and more specifically mid range game, (foul line jumper, and floater) was the right move. He said he was waiting for Dion to go off and he didn't.

This week he made the right move and he didn't look back, he's always believed in BT. He just needed my confirmation.

BTW.. SHHHH... I Just got confirmation, Swofford did infact have a second shooter on the slippery rooftop of the bovine research center in Storrs CT on that fateful February morning. I'm stunned!

I really liked how aggressive Triche was tonight. Many of them didn't go, but he was taking quality shots and forcing the action. He also was probably robbed of at least 2 trips to the foul line. I also liked how JB left him in during the crunch. Shows Triche/Jardine that neither is being "Boeheimed".
I suspect he was playing with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.

when i read the title of this thread, i thought you were referring to the floaters triche has been leaving behind in most games this year..as in foot long floaters.
