Trinidad Chambliss Granted Another Year

This is just another example of an unfair advantage for us. Any big time school will just bring it to a local or state judge and get their way.
Actually Syracuse would take the decision and say “ok”. They wouldn’t press the issue. It’s not an unfair advantage, it’s a how bad do you want it scenario.

I had read previously that he was moving to reopen his appeal to the NCAA based on having new evidence for a medical redshirt for a prior year. The NCAA previously stated he didn't present credible evidence for requesting the medical redshirt.

Both can be true.

It doesn't make sense for SU to pursue situations like Chambliss or Pavia quite as aggressively as Ole Miss or Vanderbilt would as the odds of success are very likely lower. Take our 1-10 2020 season; I don't want to get into what should/shouldn't have happened, but it's clear NY government doesn't prioritize football the way other states do and I don't think it's a stretch to believe that includes judges.

Oh, LSU is another example. The governor getting involved in the coach buyout is just *wild*.

You don’t think we have any alumni state or federal judges?

The few games i watched Chambliss looked like the best QB in CFB. Not sure if it was those couple games, but the kid can play and is going to get paid. Smart move for fringe early round picks to stay in college and pocket $4-5M
