Fun question for you all in the vein of Moonlight Graham: there is a former Syracuse player who went on to play professional basketball (in the US not overseas) and scored exactly 1 point in his pro career.

Can you name the player and what team they scored that single point for?

Now, looking this up will make it a pretty short trivia experience, but the next step in all this is learning more about their Syracuse career. Interested to see how deep the knowledge runs here!

No idea but it has to be someone who played prior to the Bing/Boeheim era...

I can’t guess anybody who played before the early 2000’s, so I’ll go recent.

Andy Rautins? I recall him getting one sip of coffee in the league.

Decade- 1940s

Andy Rautins actually scored 8 points in his NBA career! His dad had 48.

Dennis Duval- 96 points.

I'm not gonna ruin this by my cheating to find the answer.

Just wanted to add:
It's kinda crazy that Cuse has had numerous players who scored single-digits in their NBA careers
(such as they were)

Here's the single-digit guys (sans the answer):
Andy Rautins - 8
Fab Melo - 7
KrisJo - 9
Silent G - 4
Bob Shaddock - 0

There are a baker's dozen who are in double-digits.
Some notables:
Southy - 14
Stevie - 31
Mookie Watkins - 35
Leo R - 48
AO - 34
DNic - 22
Rico Lydon - 23
Uncle Drew - 69 (NIIIIIICE!)
Cole & Buddy have a chance to break thru to triple digits if they get called up and get some more PT.

Also noted that Seikaly was just 9 points shy of 10,000.

" well that's just 1 more point than a deadman "

The argument could be made that JB excelled at making non-NBA players look like NBA players.

Ok, the answer is Lou Spicer who played in 4 games for the BAA’s Providence Steamrollers in 1947. He went 0-7 from the floor and 1-2 from the free throw line. He was called for 3 fouls and that puts him in another very small category of players who had more fouls than points in their career!!
