Doeren is the worst HC in the ACC?

I really have a hard time seeing us lose to them. I know they played Clemson and FSU tight but a L is an L. They also lost to two really bad teams in ECU and BC. If it wasn't for the hurricane we would be 5-4 and they would be 3-6.

Unless they win out (SU, Miami, UNC) Doeren will have a losing ACC record every year he has been there. The three years prior to his arrival NC State had 0.0 losing ACC records. He is 7-22 in ACC play. Even taking away his first year (0-8) he is 7-14. That is barely better than SU who is 5-16 over that time.

Playing Dungey against a desperate coach. That could be a bad combo. I'm not saying, but I'm just saying.

Find me a coach that held back more sad clown tears, crumbled a stat sheet faster, and smashed it into a garbage can with more force than Doeren did in his postgame 2 minute presser on Saturday. I'll sit and wait.

Our chances go way way down in winning any game if Dungey is out for rest of season/career. Also NCST could easily have been 6-3 right now - the team just hasn't learned how to win yet. We will be the underdog again this weekend regardless.

He is really good vs FCS and historically bad G5 teams though.

I thought they did a good job closing out ND.

Then again, that could have just been the hurricane. Hard to take much away from that game.

concussion or not, I don't think that it helps that every time dungey gets hit he freaks out.

Desperation doesn't motivate and can certainly demotivate players the later the game goes.

That said, State has played tough against teams we will struggle mightily against. I don't care who is QB -- this is going to be a tough, but winnable, game.

Without ED i dont see another win
Agreed. Our offense is 1 dimensional, with our only rushing attack coming via ED. Now take away any running threat, (sorry Mahoney...we aren't running option), and add a QB that can't make the throws ED can, how exactly do we score enough to win?

I would rotate the general and Wilson. Wilson either slings it as i still think he throws the best ball. The general mixes it up. Give each a series go with the hot hand

Is it Dungey that freaks out or the media and this board who freaks out? We don't even know if it was concussion related yet people here are stating that he needs to hang it up, etc etc. He was back on the field in the 2nd half yet people act as if he ambulanced out of the stadium.

Again, every one of those kids we well as there parents out there today knows the risk of playing football. I think sometimes folks here pretend as if they don't...

the tv people were saying that he couldn't get up. it doesn't help that every time this kid gets hit he panics. it was a concussion, just stop it. he wasn't "back on the field" that makes it sound like he could have played. he limped in without pads on, like "hey".

He was on the sidelines and you would be wrong

Thanks, Dr. Orangehomer. Appreciate your input. Maybe you'd like to explain why he was back on the sidelines in the same game where he suffered this concussion. Because any doctor knows that loud noise, bright sunlight, and the possibility to get hit on the sideline are the best remedies for a concussion, right?

nasty and ignorant post.

Actually the only game the Pack's been completely out of is against UL. We could have won the other 4 if we weren't psychotic. Not saying we'll win this Saturday in the dome, but take the Pack lightly at your own risk.

i'll get back to you when we find out if he can play again this season or not. would a football staff mismanaging a concussion be a freaking newsflash to you?

Wow.
Can you really be this clueless and insensitive about such a serious issue? Did you ever play football, suffered concussion(s), and can therefore give such an ignorant take on this thing? Geez, dude. Oh Lord

No, it wouldn't. But the football staff doesn't make those decisions. Doctors do. Is that a freaking newsflash to you?
because the doctors have done such an awesome job so far. let's see, i'm a team doctor and a kid swears he is fine. the coach makes millions and wants the player to be fine. do you want to be the team doctor that's like no he's not fine? the kid has an incentive to be fine, the coach has an incentive for his best player to be fine, the doctor has no incentive to be contrary. stop being so naïve, if the doctors cared than ED wouldn't be playing at all right now.

vice versa, wolfman. I hope you guys think it will be like last year.

AJ Long's Syracuse Career Ends

Syracuse's Johnson Closes Career Due to Injury

Marona Closes Book on Playing Career

And Cordell Hudson missed a month this season before being cleared to return to practice.

I didn't play football, but I did play three sports and I was all conference in baseball and basketball. I had two injuries when I as a senior, and I am not ignorant. one was an elbow to the head that resulted in stitches, and the other I dove for a loose ball and a dude fell on the back of my head and knocked out my front teeth. doctors thought I had concussions in both circumstances, but it wasn't really a thing then. I just thought it was BS and I wanted to play so I said I felt fine, and I went back to school the next day both times. in retrospect, I may have been concussed and I am not going to drag this out, but there are times when I wonder if it has affected me at times.

so yes, I am very sensitive to this issue, I don't want dungey anywhere near anything if he has anything that remotely resembles a concussion. his future and our football program are not important enough for him to take any further risks.

You just don't realize how this sports doctoring things works these days, do you?
