You just don't realize how this sports doctoring things works these days, do you?

No he doesn't, been watching Any given Sunday too many times. Can't make this stuff up. I just love how everyone is so quick to diagnose as well.

because the doctors have done such an awesome job so far. let's see, i'm a team doctor and a kid swears he is fine. the coach makes millions and wants the player to be fine. do you want to be the team doctor that's like no he's not fine? the kid has an incentive to be fine, the coach has an incentive for his best player to be fine, the doctor has no incentive to be contrary. stop being so naïve, if the doctors cared than ED wouldn't be playing at all right now.

Incentive to be fine or not, the doctor has the ONLY an FINAL say in the matter. There are reasons why it was taken out of the players' and coaches hands at both the college and NFL level. There are reasons why SU is overly cautious with head injuries and rightfully so, case in point the lawsuit they are facing now from a former player. You really think the reputation of the school with regard to player health is enough to be over-ridden to win a few games when it may cost them 10's of millions down the road.?

The doctor is hired by the school and will have the best interest in the health of the player in mind and school second, wins wouldn't even be on the list of importance.

This isn't fantasy land any more, organizations are getting sued for what amounts to in total Billions of dollars.
