TT passing

Love seeing great passing!! A lost art. It encourages movement without the ball if you know there's a chance you'll get a pass when you cut.

And passing's contagious. Once a team gets into a groove, guys don't mind giving the ball up for a better shot attempt, because they know that a return pass will come their way down the road.

My 11 year old soccer player (who for some reason decided to follow su hoops this year, finally, took a liking to TT in the preseason and made me rewind and play that one pass to Lydon about 10 times. It was sweet, the behind the back quick release wrap around in the lane.

Becomes "team" ball instead of players standing around waiting and watching for someone to be successful taking over the offense individually.

Yeah, it was. And it was an observation about him shooting every time he touched the ball earlier in the season, not his skill set.

Glad to see him showing this aspect of his game -- high post passers aren't common, and a huge asset.
oops - sorry Jake ! ;)

Agreed.

And as we've seen, we don't have player on this team who can take over playing one-on-one.

Personally I think he would've benefited staying another year and that guaranteed contract would have been much more lucrative.
Totally disagree. He left at the perfect time. Which is before the infamous "Potential" morons that make draft decisions for NBA teams could see what he can't do. Everybody should leave before their role increases and their warts come out.
Hell, your draft stock drops immeasurably the second you say "I'm returning to school."

I think I said he was aggressive offensively, a possible willing passed but that there was evidence in your favor. Tonight was nothing like the slick pass here and there over a handful of games. He was destributing from the high post as a game plan. The truth is we are still trying to figure him out.

I do still worry about the quality of some perimeter 3 point shots that we take. Great like tonight when we're hitting them and disastrous when we rely on them for our offense. Hurts rebounding thus encouraging opponents leakouts and fast breaks, stops offensive movement and hurts the ability of our defense to get back and defend.

This kid can do it all, sadly I think he is playing his way into the draft.
Hell, he's playing his way to Springfield. At least for tonight.

What a difference two days make. Saturday he was ineffective and looked lost against Georgetown in the second half.

I love this place.

I take nothing from this game. We've seen this tune.

I didn't think he was that bad on Sat.

We are definitely better with him on the floor - and good or bad he makes an impact out there. We have too many guys on this team who you forget are even on the floor at times.

They all seem to go in when you are up 40.
