Tucker says he's healthy

so there's that.

He says he is healthy so we have to believe him because we can't prove otherwise. If this is the case then Anae has lost a lot of trust from me. I stated before that if the issue against Clemson was solely GS keeping all the reads then the OC needs to call some straight runs. After the 10th straight keep by the QB for a short gain you have to adjust the calls. If RPO isn't working, as it clearly wasn't, you adjust the calls.

Anyone with eyes can see he hasn’t been 100% since that hit to the thigh versus Louisville. He’s had to be pulled from the games a few times and tapped out several times. Athletes say things. Hopefully he’s getting better and has a great game this weekend.

He does tap out a lot but that's football these days. You see it in the NFL all the time.

The concerning thing is he's not running through contact.
He does seem to run OOBs rather than trying to juke back up field to potentially gain more yards. Trying to minimize hits. We see it. The opposing coaches who get paid to watch all the film see it. 2nd half of Clemson looked to me they have two spies pretty frequently if I recall right. One on each side of the field.

If you ask Hoos (or the VA poster that comes here often), I believe he would say he warned us about Anae's lack of interest in running the ball at times.

opposing players are going to see it/hear it too, every time they give him a hard hit

All things are relative of course, however, 9 weeks into a season that is P5 football, I'd bet that he's generally as healthy as the vast majority of P5 players at this stage in the year.

correct, which would be unforgivable when you have one of the best RBs in the country if he is healthy, but I really don't buy that he is. you are up 11 in the second half against Clemson, you run with Tucker, I don't think Anae would lose interest in running the ball at that point. let's see what happens this weekend, ND gave up a lot of yards to a middling UNLV running back last weekend, they are talented on D but sure as hell not Clemson talented

And Anae has run the ball historically at his previous stops. Someone posted a good breakdown of that somewhat recently. It was a false narrative.

and yet every chance he has had the last few weeks with decent holes he has had little problem running around or away from people.
It's possible to man up for a play here and there but not be able to take a steady pounding when you have a lot of pain.

LoL All you guys with no knowledge of the situation claiming he’s hurt and now saying he’s fos. Forget about the fact he’s sort of calling out the coaches in the press.

and forget about the fact that any time he touches the ball he runs away from people or beats them to the edge. Didn’t look hurt running the wheel or didn’t look hurt in general Saturday.

In his last two games he’s averaging 8.05 yards a carry. but he’s hurt?

All the evidence now is cause he tapped out after a 23 yard run. I mean maybe he just needed a 1 play breather. Which is exactly what happened.

I thought Anae and Beck really like balance. What we saw against Clemson certainly wasn't that, and not by a long shot. I really wonder what gives?

If Tucker isn't 100%, and Allen is healthy and the heir apparent, then run him for 6-7 carries and see what he can do

there are many ways his carry count could have been limited.. it could be play calling, it could be shrader.. it could also be that the plays were setup so that the look Shrader saw made something other than Tucker a better option and that has been changed in the plays themselves so that less things the D does flip the call..

I agree. GS was not reading anything. He was keeping the whole way. Pretty sure 2 of them woulda been nice runs for tuck including the last one GS got for a 3 yd loss.

Compared to all the top running backs I've seen this year Tucker seems to be an ordinary running back, nothing special. Isn't breaking tackles and no super cuts, not exhibiting strength through the hips or legs like other top backs, lack of play to play explosiveness.

The team is 6-1 and we’ve lost faith in the new coaching staff?

This is exactly what a guy playing injured is going to say.
Yeah it's like when we were all hanging out having a good time and out of nowhere Smoky Ray was like "And yeah I'm definitely not a cop."

Completely killed the vibe. Nobody knew what to say after that.
