UConn and Louisville are allegedly campaigning hard to join the ACC as are the likes of St. John’s and Georgetown according to the New York Daily News.



I'd like to see the addition of a big time football school to satisfy FSU and Clemson. I'd also take Georgetown. They would give us visibility in the Wa/Baltimore corridor that we lose with the exit of the Terps. I like to maintain one of the Nation's premier rivalries now that Georgetown is back in the saddle. Ucon is mediocre in football and their basketball program is no longer something to bank on. St Johns offers nothing as we already own NYC. Neither the Ville nor St John's cuts it academically. I could see the ACC swalloing some pride and bending academics to take a big time football school, but the Ville's football program is insufficient to compensate for their academic weakness.
