Nassib's arm “strong enough”

Ryan Nassib: Cosell likens Nassib to early-career Brees

John Clayton: I think they will end up with Ryan Nassib at quarterback with a trade up from the second round into the late first round. I also think they will focus on drafting offensive players this year.

Nassib=Brees?

I just don't think Ryan has the accuracy of a Drew Brees.

Maybe that part of his game has improved since the season concluded?

maybe the comparison is when Drew Brees was in the draft coming out of Purdue. Comparing nassib to Brees right now is looney.

Big fan of Ryan. But Brees comparsion is quite a bit early for me. Ryan just might have that toughness needed for the NFL no doubt. But its the ability to move it down the field is Ryan's biggest challendge.

Boy, I don't know.

Brees was a star in college - he was either a cover boy for Sports Illustrated or the major article for a fall issue.

He was a dominant player in the Big Ten.

Hey these guys know better than I do - I guess we'll see.

I haven't taken the time to look up Purdue's record in those seasons but their stats are actually very similar collegiately.

Nassib cumulative rating - 132.5
Brees - 132.4

N td/int - 70/28
B - 88/45

N cmp. % - 60.3
B - 61.2

Brees did have 300 more attempts and 2000 more yards during his career and surprisingly didn't play much his fr. year (43 att.) but Purdue had a ridiculous amount of attempts in his soph. and Jr. year. Brees had 2 more att. his Sr. year than Nassib. A lot more similar than I thought they'd be.
