You can almost always tell when players will make or miss FTs by watching their feet

Thanks, Dan. Rob covers many of the things I do when teaching kids how to shoot, but he left out the follow-through. The fingers should be bent at the joint with the hand, extend straight pointing to the hoop, and be throbbing from the snap that put spin on the ball.

I liked the Pistol Pete indoor method, lye on your back, put the ball on your fingers and say as you toss the ball toward the ceiling...finger tips...back spin...follow through, as you aim for one spot. Do that on a regular basis and it will keep your form solid from the elbow through the forearm, wrist, fingertips and shoulder.

Yep, I have done that.

See Brower, Derek. Bad stuff befalls all colleges. A guy I knew from SU Law School wound up embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from hus estate clients and when he was discovered he shot his child, his pregnant wife and himself.

Your example is unusual and unfortunate. No U is immune and we've had our share of problems. The difference is ... we hold students accountable when they screw up, instead of whitewashing the incident with fake "penalties".

Well, as I've posted, that's a hard one to cast judgment on. They Yahoo guys did a terrible job of sensationalizing that issue - and misunderstanding the policy. Contrary to their reporting, JB had nothing to do with the policy (all positive test results went to Jake). Presumably, the same protocol is followed by DG. In phase I, Players testing positive have to be evaluated and then go through counseling, etc.. If they're freshmen when they 'experiment', and test positive 3-4 years later, this would constitute "multiple" positive drug tests ... but the player would probably be allowed to play while going through the second phase. Enforcement is discretionary with the AD.

At least we have a policy ... many schools don't (it's voluntary - at least during the regular season). So to me, this is not an example of the kind of whitewashing we've seen go on (systematically) at Yukon.
