Wyoming off to a 10 point lead early against San Diego St in the MWC Final. I wanted to see a Bubble Buster this weekend to make the bubble a little more interesting. Didn't want it to be UConn however!!

And here (in CT) I know many more fans of the women's program... than of the men's program.

Cap that off against the AAC juggernaut SMU. I get we use to have a rivalry with them, but seriously, they're Gonzaga now.

I can't see Tulsa getting one of those final births now -- what a blown opportunity for them. This one game may have put them over the top (a visible top 100 road win)

I'm more speaking to anyone who's holding onto the Cuse-UCONN rivalry. In terms of you're interest in CBB and them being a bracket buster, ok, I get it. I just don't think they're much of anything anymore. They won the National Championship but they can win all the NC's they want, until they get into a P5 it doesn't matter because they will disappear from the national stage a week later until they do something like they're doing right now. They're Gonazaga. A good basketball program in a garbage conference.

He is a senior.. who oddly enough almost didn't get there as a freshman because the NCAA had questions about his recruitment and ruled him ineligible for several games his freshman year.

I know I've told this story before,, but every time he's in the news, I love to repeat it.

During his freshman year, when he was suspended by the NCAA, I was at a fund-raising event where Bill Raftery and Jim Calhoun were both speakers. Before the event started, I was chatting with Raftery... when Calhoun rushed up to him.. and started to lobby him on behalf of Boatwright. His classic sentence was "I don't give a .ck about who the .ck his .cking mother is .cking." As soon as JC said that, he turned to me, and said "Excuse me," and then he continued with his expletive-laced diatribe.

UConn has the rings you gotta respect, but that team has to be luckiest program I have seen. They are have a horseshoe stuck up there arse. It is amazing how they win these sloppy low scoring games time after time and set basketball back to the pre-shot clock era.

They play terrible basketball and rely on a guard who hits clutch shots at the end.
