Tuna and Tuggle

Great story. Parcells is a big horse guy. Happy to see he has another nice horse. Englehart is a fantastic young trainer.

I remember John Tuggle well.

Rooted hard for him to make it, thought it was cool he was Mr Irrelevant.

Got his autograph after camp one day, it was at Pace back then.

Did the horse win?

Not a great effort. A little rank early, and then failed to move forward on the others in the stretch. Regrettably, does not look like a stakes horse at this point.

Throw that race out. He was bothered badly by the favorite entering the first turn and lost all chance. He may or may not be a grass horse, but he has shown real ability in his two dirt sprints. Don't be surprised when he wins at a price at Belmont this fall.

Coach has a real nice 2YO Colt that is named "Three Technique", broke maiden 3rd race out at Saratoga going 7F on the dirt and made it look easy. Won by about 6 lengths. Looks like the type that will only get better with added distance, that would be the one to keep an eye on moving forward. He should be in some early 2YO derby preps sometime this fall where he will answer the test or not.

Francessa has a couple nice ones now too. Both grass horses that he owns with the dude that started Casamigos tequila. They both have tequila type names, can't remember but I think one is named " No Lime"

must have been great being the trainer when those two owned horses together

That was easily the most impressive 2YO performance of the meet from Three Technique on Saturday.

Agreed, far superior to Tuggle's last effort.

Tugggle is a ny bred so he will be fine running in state company. I though the Pletcher horse the last day was pretty freaking good too. Chad brown has too many can’t even remember. Green light go, those horse that scratched out the hopeful was really good.

Should be some nice ones debuting at Belmont next 6 weeks or so

Heard some of the usual suspects offered Coach a lot of money for 50% of three technique and he told them thanks but no thanks.

Galloped out strong in his last start. Looks like he's going to like more distance. We'll know more after his next race. Tuna is living the dream...

Yep, agreed. That Dale Romans monster is starting this Saturday at Churchill in the Iroquois. Dennis' Dream I think is his name. Won maiden race at Ellis Park by 100

Dennis' Dream won easy. Pretty much galloped and was hand ridden for most part

Don't sleep on Tuggle today in the 9th race at Belmont. Englehart is running him back in an open stakes race on the turf, so he must think he can compete at this level. Will be a square price in the 10-1 range.

He kinda slept through the race. Still runs very green and rank. Perhaps he will.show improvement next year.

Went to the lead, dueled and tired today. Needs class relief. Probably will see him run back in a state-bred stakes race next month.
