Tweetin' at 'croots

I tweeted at Jerome Smith before his junior season at Syracuse and still feel weird about it. And he was on the team. Tweeting at high schoolers? Takes a stronger stomach than I have, apparently.

bannersociety

These are the geniuses that wrote the groundbreaking article where they took the current year, subtracted the age of the recruit, then determined if they could "remember" a school winning a natty?

I never have and I never will tweet a prospect. I would like to think (hope?) that there is nothing remarkable about that.

I don’t do it but can’t see anything wrong with simple stuff like congratulations etc etc.

I find it to be a bit extra but those who do things like that are fine. As long as it doesn’t go like way to obsessed and you like start dming the recruit that’s bizarre (and has most definitely happened). But I’m not going to sit here and pretend I’m better than someone who tweets stuff to recruits even if I find it a tad different.

at first i thought this was new house band like the tonight show

We should all Tweet and follow recruits on Insta and be really nice on Internet forums because WE CAN IMPACT the result.

What 18–year old star recruit isn’t influenced by Ed in Marcellus Tweeting “You would look good in Orange, D’Andre!” that follows five or six Tweet replies stating “U R hot” to various sports sideline reporters?

And how else would a recruit know that “Buttgers sucks” unless we respond inline to a rival fan? How else, in fact, would that prized recruit know that Buttgers, in fact, sucks? (Edit: should have used a less obvious school).

So I say...Tweet more. Don’t go to Instagram without having two drinks in you. If you love Syracuse, well then, help our fine coaches recruit via each of our wonderful social media abilities.

God Bless America and Go Orange.

(betting too many people take this seriously...)

OK, boomer.

I just think rutgersal singing a song to a recruit. Quite frankly I'm surprised he hasn't pulled a Celtic pride and kidnap a recruit.

Does this require a second? What are the rules here? Because I second.
That's what I was waiting for.

Mods, does the board have a find and replace function so we can update all places where the words recruiting and recruits are found?

IMO, tweeting at recruits is totally fine as long as you only refer to the recruit as “playmaker” & include at least one “fire” &/or “flexing bicep” emoji.

She's just readin' what the 'croots tweet, not tweetin' at 'croots. :D

I thought he was referring to her being the insta model and wearing Syracuse gear...
