*ahem* *cough* *cough*

i wasnt at the game... but from TV - the attendance didnt look like it was in midseason Sat game vs a decent opponent form. just my 2 cents.

anywho... not that it is any surprise, but with cooking like that we will walk back into the attendance crown this year.

The question is if 100% of all teams count attendance the same way is it really cooking the books? Not 99%, 100%

but kentucky can only cook a few hundred... we cooked like 6500 last night.

is it cooking the books if you sell that many seats? No one counts only who shows up. Or do they?

Paid attendance. Paid. Not fannies in seats. It's always been that way.

i understand that... still odd to me that 4500 people (assuming 21k season tix) bought a ticket at face value for colgate in november during a football game when they could have purchased in resell market for about 20% of the cost.

Season tix sales must have been VERY LOW last year considering the 16/17k games.

Season ticket holders...many don't live in Syracuse...Happens all the time. It's enhanced this year since season tix sales exploded this year.

I would say maybe 18,000 at the game. Definitely under 20,000.

I think there is a big group of fans who live too far to attend weekday games but jump on weekend games. With the scarcity of good tickets available now, games like Colgate look a lot more attractive to this group.

don't forget the mini packages. this was a part of the duke package.

Yup. The 3 lower tier OOC games I picked were Fordham, Colgate, and Eastern Michigan. I'm sure this being on a weekend led to many 6 pack buyers selecting Colgate.
