1. While the FOGO guys are average at best, the wings are awful. They are pathetically slow and afraid to take a hit.
2. With a few exceptions - Desko, Maltz, Megill - these guys are a bunch of 2nd teamers. What the Hell Happened to Recruiting, Desko?

The seat should be getting a bit toasty with you-know-who hanging around...

Good point about the wings. They rarely get a ground ball. And Drew, well, he can run like the wind, but he's as soft as charmin.

We heard so much about Lecky. He barely played tonight.

Some of the younger players - Mullins, etc. - are going to be good. But they make big mistakes after big plays.

I had higher hopes for Lecky, since he's two years older than a typical frosh.

At times in the first half we were running 4 Attacks, and 2 Mids on offense.

Dave Rahme wrote that the Cornell fans were laughing at our ineptitude in the third. Apparently wardell threw the ball on a clear directly to a Cornell attack man and gave up open goal. Not good!

He actually did that twice!

It was during a short period when SU made three bad errors in a row, two of which led to Cornell goals. SU played good lacrosse in the first half, few mistakes, then just completely fell apart in the third.

If you couldnt see the game on TV count yourself as lucky, that second half was one of the wortst halves of lacrosse from SU I have ever seen. The lack of Offensive firepower on this team was so glaring today it would have blinded you. Really concerned about the rest of the year and next year with this offense, zero play makers and nobody who can score from distance.

Couldn't watch, read Rahmes updates.

Those who watched him in earlier practices said he couldn't clear.

Did a good job overral but had two absolutely horrendous turnovers includign the one in the second half that led to a goal. Also another awful game for Eilers, I have no idea why Desko keeps running the guy out there he cant score and turns it over at an alarming rate, beyond frustrating. The good news is that Mullins is really coming on and I thought Maltz looked a lot better, but unfortunately he was the bright spot on O. Desko MIA again, ditto for Marasco (shocking I know) and somebody but an APB for Hakeem Lecky and Matt Pratt, jesus are they on the team?

Unfortunately, they're just scrubs.

over the years desko was fortunate to have some top shelf players fall into his lap,but the guy cannot coach and his team is showing that right now.

the players are all playing like freshmen now especially on the man up unit. do they even have a guy coaching the unit or are going to wait and see who the football team hires as the special team coach and then point him to desko's desk.

the bottom line is that most of the teams we have played are bigger, faster, stronger and better coach at the positions.

Agree on Eilers and Ianzito. Play the young guys. The time has come!

It is his second game between the pipes.
Understood. But that should have been the point of the redshirt, to work extensively on clears so when the time comes it is fluid and he knows breakout patterns. Baptism by fire, though, Princeton and Cornell make for a cruel introduction to big-time college lacrosse.

Come on. Seriously?

agree, especially if he wasnt ready at the beginning of the year because of injury or whatever. Kid does seem to be saving shots at a better clip than Dom or Lerman were...

It was strange as Cornell are pretty much in the same boat, they played lots of young or new guys, not much sr leadership but the last few years they have looked like the best team in Upstate NY to be honest, even without their best player.

I know we have put a lot of focus on GB's but we looked to panic a lot of the time probably putting too much prssure on themselves where the Cornell playes seemed to stay carm and get the ball off the turf everytime!

There are alot of issues but also a lot of upside to this team!

I thnk Desko has been very honest and knows what he has got and where we will be at the end of the year! (as I think we all do).

I heard that the last Time SU had a losing streak, The same Mantra. Then SU won 2 NC in a row...:rolling:

Eilers had 2 Goals last night

I am not sure if I am missing something here:confused: I have read how Desko is the best player on this team, how Maltz is the only bright spot on O, how other than Megill, Desko & Maltz everyone else are 2nd teamers...:blah: yadda yadda yadda...how can anyone overlook Tommy Palasek he is a balanced player with 15 goals 14 assists, he took this team on his back for the Princeton win (best player on the field IMHO). In the last 5 games alone Palasek has 20 points to a combined Maltz/Desko 15. So again, how has Tommy Palasek been so overlooked when it is so obvious he is emerging as an offensive leader on a struggling team right now? Please tell me what I am missing from Maltz & Desko that makes them better than Tommy Palasek? As far as I can see Tommy Palasek & Brian Megill are 2 of the best players on this team at opposite ends of the field. I am still hopeful that if we can pull this season out of our %sses Jojo will emerge as our midfield leader & that his breakout game will come. Not totally convinced that Wardwell is the answer but I guess we can only hope that he will get better I think if we can work on better team defense this will help him. The single most thing I see missing from this squad is Head, Heart & Hustle and that falls on the players themselves they need to dig deep, decide what they want from the rest of this season and how much they are willing to do to accomplish it. I remain faithful to the Orange and to their victorius return to success!

Pratt doesn't even look like a D1 player.
