First, hearing that James Southerland may be getting a look down in Charlotte.

Second, a little guessing game... What former SU Hoops star might be returning to SU as an assistant women's basketball coach? I'll let folks guess a little before sharing the answer.

Glad that James is getting a look in the NBA. Not a fan of Charlotte though.

On the second part, i haven't heard anything. Ill guess scoop.

The Spurs called 6'8" sharpshooter James Southerland to see if he would consider playing overseas next season if they took him with the 58th pick in last month's draft. Southerland turned down the offer and went undrafted, and is trying to prove himself with the Sixers and Warriors in summer league, as Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer writes.

Man. Actually Oldpinepoint it is one of your three guesses...Moten.

I love the move. Lawrence obviously bleeds Orange. Plus when he is out recruiting, while the name value has diminished from his playing days, I have to think a recruits ears might perk up when she hears the words all time leading scorer.

I also think his name will help in a great recruiting area DC/MD/VA. Worth a shot in my opinion. Supposedly he had some conversations this past week about the possibility. Not sure if an offer was made or if he'd accept, but he is definitely very interested.

Heard Scoop has an offer to join his buddy Ricky out in Israel.
Does Bernie still consult with the Israeli teams? and did he with this team? Just wondering if this is helping some of our guys to go over there.

I also heard his 2 daughters are both D1 talents.

I think they parted ways similar time last year.

Like Tee noted above, I don't think Bernie is still around but I would assume during his time there that he did recommend former SU players like Ricky and Scoop if they were available. I think it'll be a good look for Scoop to play over there and get his legs and conditioning back in order before trying out for the NBA again next year.

Awesome for Moten. He went on that long press-tour type thing to get people engaged with the program this summer, nice to see its led to a position in the AD.
