Negotiating with wife...looking to rent a car drive to ATL split costs, I'll rent car in SAT.

Would leave first thing Tuesday or Sunday (hope not) after the games.

Can pick u up in Aus, DFW or Houston as appropriate...might start driving after work on Thursday.

If I didn't have to work Saturday and Sunday I would totally be trying to get to Atlanta. My brother already asked me if I had to work so we could potentially fly down there and try for tickets.

to try and top this....i have a wedding in Florida to go to at 7pm on Saturday night (i'm wondering if i will have to watch a final four match-up with Florida, in the state of Florida)

Wow that would be awesome. Frankly though I am terrified to go to one of these games in person because I am just positive it precipitate a loss. I've only been to two SU NCAA tournament games in my life and one of them was against Navy. If you get my drift.

Cool...I have a car booked and a room booked in Marietta, GA (NW suburb) for $55 a night (3 star). I'll drive over to Houston Thursday night, pick you up Friday early am. Send me a PM with you contact info. I'm on an airplane right now. Will call later today. Anyone else in Houston want in? Should be able to take 3 comfortably...we'll split the car costs. I can get access to cheap military rates for hotels.

Completly normal. I was most impressed with Mark's ability to shotgun a sixer of Keystone Light at each interstae rest stop and then steer with his knees at 80mph while singing the fight song while standing up out of the sunroof. He did make that "bad beer" crunchy face from the Keystone ad in between rest stops. Just wear your seat belt.

I have 2 tix already acquired. Section 317, mid level. $236 a strip (covers service fee). Tix were $200 a strip.

Expect to pay about $200 plus fees and up right now. Who knows in a few days.

If you can handle being flexible and don't mind haggling on gameday...you probably can do better.

It is partly the timing of the drive back Tuesday (as opposed to a plane ride back that morning) that would be a deal-killer--but I've got a lot of other things to sort out, too.

MARTA,get down to team hotel bar by 8:00, scalp single for Championship, return Tuesday.This was my routine in 2003,(rode in the team bus entourage, back from SuperDome, with NO police motorcycle escort) why change now?
