In the Lydon thread, I posted about the disturbing trend of Syracuse players 2nd contract. no 1st rounder since Melo got much more than the minimum on a 2nd deal (I believe only Warrick and Dion got more than minimum and they were both small 1 year deals - at least Dion had a player option).

Also - I dont believe many though rak or G would ever make a roster. so for them to do it, is good. Its all relative to specific situation.

Can you post the trends for other draft picks getting a second contract? You claimed it was disturbing in regards to Syracuse players?

Walton played his bench a lot last year and didn't give the starters heavy minutes. Clarkson led the team in minutes per game at 29.2, and he wasn't even a starter.

How can you call something a trend if you don't know the general percentages?

That's like saying "Syracuse isn't shooting 60% from 3 each of the last 10 years. This is a disturbing trend."

Do other teams shoot 60%? Did Syracuse shoot this before?

I like Russell quite a bit. 16 ppg and 5 APG in 29 mpg at age 20 is pretty good. Different type of player from Ball though.

The year before, Towns averaged 32 mpg.

Only rookies in the last 4 years to play roughly 35 mpg were Wiggins in 2015 at 36 mpg, and MCW in 2014 at 34.5.
