I'm all on board with that for sure. In all due credit to JB, Hop, Red, Gmac and the staff... Syracuse has made a living off of picking kids who were underrated in HS or had a lack of accolades coming in and subsequently turned them into big time contributors. Case in point: Johnny Flynn was more of an afterthought / sweeten up the pot on the Paul Harris recruitment and subsequently went on to be a first round draft pick. Hak was our backup plan to Chris Bosch and Triche because of an untimely ACL had pretty much gone completely unheralded coming out of JDW and although he never became a big time pro prospect he was much underrated throughout his 4 year career at Cuse where he ended up being the winningest player in school history at the time. But those things while worth mentioning are ancillary facts to your assertion of TL being perhaps the best effort in the last 20 years. It just goes to prove that JB and his staff deserve a great deal in latitude when we weigh in on the level of talent they bring in here. All things considered it is more than remarkable...in fact, it astounding IMHO.
