Tyler Lydon is already projected to be a first round draft choice in the 2017 NBA draft: "With 2016 over, however, teams (and blogs) are already getting focused in on who the top prospects could be when 2017's selections roll around. Not surprisingly, Orange forward Tyler Lydon's pretty high on lists:

Bleacher Report: 11th

Draft Express: 21st

NBADraft.net: 18th

SB Nation: 22nd

USA Today: Top 12"

All you people who think he should enter the NBA draft 2017 are crazy! Your arguments are weak. And you don't know what you are talking about.

Best prospect we've had since MCW/Waiters, maybe even better in the long run, but hard to beat rookie of the year, and two All Rookie first teamers.

Lydon's opportunity is off the charts. I am very much looking forward to the 2016-17 season.

Dave, we have no idea next year if he's going to be the same as last year (an above average role player) or morph into an All-American. All possibilities are on the table with this guy -- so what's the point of even speculating?

There's really nothing to talk about this time of year. I thought it would be funny to start arguing about Lydon early after we had 2 months of debating Malachi. I'm just causing trouble. It's a flaw in my character.

It's about his best interest, not ours

I would think at some point fans have to become apart of this money making equation. It could certainly be his best interest but always tell the fans how important they are.

I always think of Captain America when I see Lydon I think its the old school serious intelligent feel

Where the Photoshop dude????? We need a Lydon version of this photo!

Not worried about Lydon. If he goes, it will be the right decision. Completely shut down any talk of him going this year when he probably was a 1st round pick depending on the measurables and his work at the combine.

A year to grow in all aspects. It's gonna be exciting to be apart of.

Are we allowed to like him more for staying or is that bad fan etiquette? Can we say Lydon is swell guy for choosing CBB over chasing money and prestige in the NBA?

I'd say that's fair game. He's a great kid, with a good head on his shoulders. When he came in, I doubt he thought one and done was even possible so he knows he has work to do and didn't give much thought to just taking the quick money.

Nothing against Mali, he made a perfectly fine decision as well and could have a long NBA career. Needs to improve as well, but he will have the ability to do that in the NBA just fine. Especially in Sac Town.

Easier to like a guy like Lydon more though when you get to see him improve another year in front of your eyes every game. Maybe we even get UNC lucky, and he stays 3-4 years. Can only hope, but the kid is gonna just keep getting better especially with a bigger role. He should have took more shots last year, but now he has to take more.
