Tyler Rouse

I don't have a problem with su not offering him, but I was hoping they would.

Sent using my Commodore 64 on Tapatalk 5.3
i was as well

He sure knew how to hit the hole. That's a big part of being a running back.

They also signed Jo-Lonn Dunbar ... beat out Cuse

300 plus carries in a 10 game season is excessive for the high school level. (Rouse)

They didn't beat out cuse for Dunbar--we signed Damien Rhodes that same recruiting class, who was higher rated.

I have seen him play a dozen or so times and he was just as good on D and also punted. How can a kid like this with these numbers be such under the radar and garnish almost no attention. Didn't understand it a year ago and still don't..

I thought the crutch for Dunbar was we offered him at linebacker, he wanted to play running back. BC offered him the chance to play RB and then promptly switched him to the other side of the ball before the ink was even dry.

Phat is right - he wanted to play rb, and we told him lb or bust.

He's been getting some carries for BC. Looks pretty good. Glad he got a chance somewhere.

To be fair to our RBs I'm willing to bet that Cuse only had like 11 offensive TDs this year.

Stephen Bailey ‏@Stephen_Bailey1 2m Tyler Rouse (3) had more touchdowns this year than all of Syracuse's running backs combined (2). Not bad for a kid everyone thought was too small and injury prone for FBS ball.

He also got lit up by our linebackers. Thought Addazzio stopped giving him the ball because he was nervous about his health.

Tyler reminds me a lot of PTG in size, speed and ability. I think PTG behind their line probably scores 3 td's this year too.

How do you think he would have done running behind a banged up OL and for an OC who aimlessly rotated five RBs?

Don't think we missed on Rouse. I could've scored 3 TD's behind that BC line this year. I'd take PTG over him any day of the week and twice on Saturday.

But but we got Naesean Howard! (Okay I know he wasn't going to play RB) Did he ever hook up with another school this fall?

EDIT: I'm assuming he didn't stay in school.

he was not in the ballpark of PTG

I'd still take any RB on SU's roster over Rouse. BC's system and personnel is meant to exploit teams on the ground. SU's wasn't this year after Hunt was injured.

Can someone please tell me why the hell mcfarlane got the least carries? Nothing on morris or ptg but i feel as if dm was clearly the most talented.

tyler rouse for Heisman. what an insane whif by the staff. I cant believe it. holy crap, that tiny slow kid is so good.
These designations of Walk on /2nd Team/starter/Hall of Fame posts etc.etc show that these rewards are the basis of numbers not content.

Any information on why Tyler's role on BC diminished this year tremendously? Was Addazio pressured for better results on the offensive side since they haven't won an ACC game since the Syracuse game in 2014.

Rouse rushed 101 times for 426 yards/ 9 receptions for 145 yards last year as a Junior but now has rushed for only 9 times for 29 yards/3 receptions for 29 yards. I thought maybe they had some injuries last year but then noticed that the other running back from last Jeff Smith has had his role switched to wide receiver. He rushed 71 times for 450 yards and now has 15 rec for 259 yards/3 rushes for 40 yards.
