Can't see them dropping another game ... I'm sure calhoun ripped them a new one ... I feel safe with my money on the huskies

Apparently many of the players are coming down with the flu, from what they are saying over on the Uconn board. I think they lose 2 in a row.

Isn't it just Olander and Daniels? And I saw they played heir usual minutes yest ... Boatright is expected to debut, I believe.

UConn will be a legit top 5 team by the end of the season but they aren't even close to that right now. I think they lose again today to a pretty good FSU team

what? Uconn is so overrated its sad.

They will be closer to not making tourney than being a legit top 5.

They were maybe a top 25 team last year? and lost by far the best player.

That was a sweater, but a win's a win ... And how can u say they will b closer to not making tourney? Drummond is a monster inside and just added Boatright who looked great to go along with Lamb n Napier ... If you watched them you would have seen they are a top team nationally despite having a loss and blowing another lead ... Calhoun has the pieces and can coach

they looked horrific all week. including today.

they arent that good. maybe top 20-25.

Horrific? Really??? Horrific???

UCONN had a freshman PG playing his first game tonight. He scores 14 including 3 FT's with 7 seconds to go to send the game into OT. They got 12-10-7 from Drummond, shot 44% from three. 3 freshmen and 4 sophs playing most of the minutes. They may have finished the season as the best team in the country last year, but they are still young. You can bet they will be better in Jan than they are now and better in March than they will be in Jan.

We'll see. I have had a very strong feeling they would be last year's Michigan st.

This week has only made me more comfortable with that feeling.

If you think uconn was legitimately the best team in the country last year, then I'd rather not debate with you anyway.

Syracuse was a distant 4th best team in Big East in 96... Anyone that calls them 2nd best team that year, I would put on your same level.

I'd love to see you try to name 20 teams better than UConn

1. UCF

I'm just saying they are overrated... Putting them in top 5 was a joke. Putting lamb as 1st team AA is a joke.

Sure, I'm exaggerating saying they were horrific. They were horrific for a top 5 team.

We played pretty bad too this week... But we played solid teams. Uconn didn't and struggled

FSU is better than both VT and Stanford...

Based on what? Preseason ranking?

I saw them put up 14 pts in the 1st half, 40 overall... To harvard

I have watched all 3 teams play, and I would say they are all very similar at best.

FSU would give us serious problems, IMO.
FSU frontcourt is 6'11, 6'10, 6'8, all athletic guys. Plus they like to slow it down.
No disrespect bro, I just disagree w/ you when you say UConn should be ranked in the 20s. Defending national champs, lose one player. Lamb, Napier, Oriakhi, Olander, Smith all one year improved, plus Drummond, Daniels, Boatright all HS AA type talent.
Sure-fire first round NBA talent in Lamb and Drummond, and probably a couple more future pros on that team. JC will have them ready in march, and unfortunately for us they will be scary when their young guys get used to college bball. I hate UConn, but damn I respect them.

The fsu bigs were awful down the stretch (I watched the last min and OT) they had hands like t-rob as a freshman

Uconn was kemba walker last year. Nothing else. He was EVERYTHING to the worst team to win the title since nova.

Lamb is solid. But I wouldn't call him sure-fire anything. He avg'd 10 and 3 on a thin very talentless (except kemba) team last year and he is anointed 1st team AA this season? That makes sense...

We can agree to disagree. Like I said I have had conn pegged as overrated from the beginning and have made my opinion very clear. They have looked even worse than I thought so far this season. In just about every game.

Over the last month of the season, UCONN beat two top 10 ranked teams and 5 others ranked in the top 20. They won their last 11 games, won the BET and the NCAA tourney. I assume you want to decide who was the "best" team based on polls? They played a tourney. UCONN was playing better than anyone at the right time. I'm pretty sure Ohio St. didn't hang a banner for being ranked #1 in the fianl regular season poll...If you want, you could give Duke 4 or 5 more titles if it went to whomever everyone thought was "the actual best team".

I didn't take anything away from them winning the title. They absolutely deserved to win. And kemba had an all time month that can't be compared to anything in history.

But much like mich state, that made them an easy overrated selection.

iMO they aren't that good.

Let's do it. Be imteresting to see what happens.

College Bball is not big here at all. Especially with ga tech struggling so much. Uga is a football school through and through.

Nba has support, but no one supports the hawks. It is 'cool' to follow the hyped teams and players here (lakers, heat, celtics, Knicks etc...)

I mean is there a decent SU fan base? any alumni or cuse bball fans ever get together for big games at a bar or anything of that sort?

I've heard elsewhere college bball in GA is more or less a joke. It's the south, football is life. to each his own.

I love people who look at an end of season stat sheet and make generalized statements. ..Did you even watch the last 5 weeks of the season? Check out Lamb's numbers. Check out who hit the key baskets down the stretch in 4 of those games. It wasn't Kemba. UCONN doesn't win a thing in March/April without Lamb.

Of course not. That would be silly. He was still their 2nd best player. You can't take the 2nd best player off that team. They wouldnt have made the NIT without him.

Do you really think that he deserved pre-season 1st team AA?

We have a pretty solid alum base here (considering its not NYC, Boston, DC, Chi, or LA)

For the NCAA tourney, we prob get close to 100 people for the games.

Its not even football, college football is king here. college football blows nfl out of the water here.
