UConn down 6 @ RAC

It isn't just the fans overrating them... aren't they ranked #8 in the nation?

I'm just worried that with the other top Big East teams losing, if they beat us we will end up falling further in the rankings than I'd like. I think a lot of Big East teams have multiple personalities, and most of them seem capable of beating each other, which includes SU.

UConn is exactly what I suspected they were. They are a team that has the core back from a 9-9, 11th place BE finish, that just so happened to get extremely hot on the back of an elite talent, got the benefit of some good breaks in the NCAA tourney, and went on to win it all.

They seem to have fallen back to earth since Kemba left. They were only an above average team with Kemba, now they are just an average team.

Big East is there for the taking this year for SU.

In the first half the announcer asked if Syracuse plays any road games after they mentioned our win over marquette today.. never heard that one before :bat:

SC, I certainly think SU is in the driver's seat, but if Marquette drops more than 5 spots, that will leave us with one victory against a currently ranked opponent(#14 as of now, but they lost today). Today was nice, but I am not sure what will happen when the schedule toughens.

all this tells me is that if the NCAA were all best of 5's there are only about 3 teams that could beat us.. too bad its not the NBA.. i wonder how a 16 team nba type series of games would play out, would it make more money in the long run that a crazy 68 team tourney does? do it best of 3 and it would only last a week or so more than the regular one..

With UConn going down to Rutgers, and the other BE upsets, to me it means that on any given night any team in the BE can upset any other team in the BE. We dodged a bullet against Marquette. The upset god was in the air tonight in the BE.

when full, the rac has been the toughest venue in the big east-----8-9000 in the rac = 30,ooo in the dome but is even better.rice is very good coach and beware of them. excellent recruiting and maturing very quickly. if you have never been to the rac, its like playing at an old parochial gym. thr place rocks when full. granted the fans are fair weather, and mostly not very b-ball savy.many do not even recognize how valuable the venue is.

Seton Hall will most likely be ranked after their wins over UConn, WVU and Prov. 14-2 and 3-1 in the BE should gain some attention.
