Yes exactly. He never left the field that's on the D to make sure he's actually not in play and to cover him if he is.

I would think that someone on UConn’s defense would have noticed that they had no one to defend. So it’s okay if the defense takes advantage thinking they only have 10 players to defend with 11, I assume.

I guess I thought you’d have to be off the field to be substituting.
