We just didn’t take that into consideration when scheduling Tenn as the first game.

He hired ERob as his DC and he's horrible.

With a program like Syracuse, where you don’t get the top recruits and biggest and fastest guys on D, you have to run an aggressive, blitzing defense like Shafer and Tony White used to run. Yes you’ll be burned at times, but you have to apply pressure on the opposition. In the end, if you scheme well, you’ll be much better off than the passive crap we’re seeing with ERob’s scheme. At TA&M, his teams had the athletes to play great D. Here we have to rely more on a scheming, aggressive D, with lots of surprises, to keep the other team off balance. Eventually we might have the athletes to compete but not now.

I've been worried about the WR's for awhile. No guarantee that anyone was going to step up in the amount needed this year. Or be able to step up. The WR group felt like how most people summarized most of the Babers teams before the season ---- lots of potential...

It didn't actually. We were pretty low on big plays. We were just exceptionally good at sustaining drives.

That’s not true at all. The offense did both last year.

The throw down the sideline for the toe tap catch was pretty good. He hasn’t played well, but the oline is an abomination both running and passing.

It had a good result, but it wasn’t a great pass. A lot of Angeli’s downfield passes sail high on him, and that was one that did.

Not sure why we stopped running Willis. He’s been good. Averaging 5 yards a carry. Angeli has been bad. Need to find a way to get into Cook’s hands. Villari has been very good. Just put the ball in Willis, Cook’s, Gill’s and Villari’s hands on offense. And they will be fine.

Angeli is holding the ball too long. Throw some screens to Cook and Gill. Some slants across the middle. Run some RPOs to the outside then after a few run Willis down the middle. Need to spread the defense out. Defensively we are a mess. It’s pretty clear Erob is a problem and fixed nothing this off-season. Even scarier that Fran is a defensive coach and the defense has been such a mess.
