One of the reasons I wanted UCF in the Big East last year was because their football program was decent and their basketball team, despite the protestations of many, did not suck and appeared to be able to compete right away (unlike USF).

Very true... had the Big East made that move a few years ago, I believe you would have seen two competitive Florida football programs in the BE... and they wouldn't hurt the B-Ball any more than DePaul has. Looking back though I am glad it didn't happen, because I would not have wanted the decision to leave be any more difficult.

UCF can compete in both sports right away.

They have a good football team, no worse than us or Connecticut right now.

Their bball team is rising. Definitely better than the likes of RU, Depaul, Prov, and a couple other have-nots in the Big East.

UCF also has a very nice on campus hoops facility, and a very nice on campus football stadium - both built within the last 5 or so years.

Of course, the athletic department is going through a bit of turmoil right now. Their AD resigned (or was fired) last month because of some improper benefits/contact from a booster (Ken Caldwell).

Anyway, congrats to the University of Central Florida on the biggest win in school history!!!!

They just showed BC's team waiting to come on the court, I've seen intramural teams at my gym that look far more intimidating.
