The defense and special teams held their weight and kept this a winnable game, so definitely hats off to them.

Willis not getting 20+ carries is really weird.
Not putting in a mobile qb given the size of some open running lanes from the pocket was another weird decision.
The lack of downfield passes until the last few drives was also very head scratching.

Lots for us to improve on, lots to be worried about. But imagine for a second being a UConn fan right now. Up 17-6 on the road in the 4th quarter against a rival as a TD underdog, against a completely inept offense and a QB who can't get anything going, whose fans are begging for him to be pulled.

They have to be absolutely gutted. I can't imagine much more gross of a way to lose.

Angeli made a dramatic sudden improvement (and I was advocating for replacement as he looked lost). Props to him for turning it around somehow and getting it in the end zone 3 times

The defense looked good this game got key stops even with the slow start from the offense.

Defense second half except for play or two looked really good. As did special teams.

Found a way to steal one we didn’t really deserve.

Good on the team for not giving up and the D played a tremendous second half save for an absurd one handed grab in double coverage on 4th and 10.

Deslauriers is a future first team All ACC guy. He might be our best LB already.

That absurd grab by JRS in OT? All time highlight grab.

And I’ll start the apology train for Angeli. He was terrible for most of the game. I (and most everyone else) killed him for it. But he buckled the chin strap and was nearly flawless from the fourth down TD throw to JRS through OT.

Good teams win on not their best day. Are we good? Too early to say. But losing this one should would have hurt a lot. Good on the boys for finding a way.

This was arguably his best game as DC, with signs he improved - unless he lost play calling duties in-game.
