You jest but the original Alaska Shootouts (78-82) were played on Fort Richardson (@Buckner Fieldhouse) in a 3500 seat Army Gym. You might be on to something.

Yea, I dont think the gym up here could fit even 350 people lol. We do have a few venues in Fairbanks, and the university that would be awesome for a big game. I was a little bummed out that I missed the glory days of the Great Alaska Shootout. I think it was you, TM who first told me about it. Regardless of the participants I think I will make the trip down this year.
