Whoever thinks we were a better team last year doesn't watch basketball. We are much more consistent and have better chemistry this year. The only thing that was better last year was our defense, but our offense far outweighs our shortcomings on defense.

I'd honestly stop following college basketball if I were a UConn fan. Relegated to a makeshift mid-major conference because you were passed over by the power conferences when the music stopped. What's the point of being a fan? I'd start following ESPN Sunday Bowling during the winter instead.

   Why would we lose to Syracuse? I think we would beat them at the Carrier Dome this year. Last year they were a better team (we won at XL). We match up well with Cuse this year.

Maybe those losers should worry about their overrated squad finishing over .500 in their mid-major conference before they start pounding their chests about what they're going to accomplish in the NCAAs.

And oh yeah--if there "is a god" and we end up playing them in the NCAA tournament, that would mean they'd be a #16 seed. Sounds about right if they maximize their limited upside.

They deserve to be ranked #2 right now, but tha doesn't mean they aren't still suckholes. If there is a god we get that team in our bracket in the NCAA tourney and watch Bazz, giff and Calhoun rain 3s over that tavern league 2-3 of those vile scum.

I'm not sure how I feel about our team being called "vile scum". Really? That's a jealousy driven rage statement if I ever heard one. At least this guy can curl up at night with the memories of their three titles. As I said before, a few seasons of this and some of their fans will be wishing they could trade two of those titles for relevance.

Anyone who's been to the BET or traveled to games at uconn understands that a large preponderance of their fanbase is comprised of arrogant, smarmy, jealous jokers. Statements like the one you picked out of that post are indicative of the general consensus at the boneyard. Not all, but most--which is precisely why they are not worthy of our sympathy.

Irrelevance is the perfect fate for that fanbase. Screw them.

I can SO not wait for them to settle to their water-line of about 17-15 each year. Rutgers fans are just clueless. UConn fans are arrogant and clueless. 3 rings - I get it. I know many people think that Georgetown was the ultimate rivalry but the Yukon fans definitely made that rivalry more compelling. Very similar to Yankees vs Red Sox. I think it was definitely more about the fans than about the players.

I think it is great that they lost to Houston. I remember one of the Yukon fans coming on our board preaching how good the Houston program is. Well they found out first hand. Looking at the Huskies schedule I can possibly see seven or eight more losses. Plus they are going to have a tough one at home on January 8th when they host Harvard.
