Pseudo geniuses running athletics departments! They should have to pay back in threefold what they received in salary and other compensation in retribution for their stupidity.

That doesn't change their TV money. They still benefit from SEC money.
Well sure, and that obviously is where b1g/sec have the leg up on everyone, but kentucky/missouri/SC aren't in the same stratosphere as georgia/lsu/alabama

This just shows how crazy things are. Somehow lower divisions run ADs. Somehow varsity sports existed 50 years ago with much less revenue.

Well if you believe the reports, they were spending like twice as much on their basketball team as the next closest team in the country so I can see why maybe they don't think they can keep their spending up lol
They can only spend the max. How can they be spending twice as much on the team?

But the latter three aren't the median for what's needed to run an AD in the black. I don't think being 16th in the country should be all that bad. These numbers are from 2024, but it shouldn't be that different for 2025.

Anything over the allowed 20 million wouldn't be coming from the AD.

And we have a more recent Final Four than they do. Maybe they should hire Autry?

when the next iteration of big boy football is finalized, KY will be in the league with Cuse, Duke, Kansas, and a host of other schools that can't (or opt not to) keep up with the football juggernauts.
