I’ve been of the mindset that we’ll surprise and get one more quality win this season to pair with our Tennessee win (i.e. a win against UNC, Duke, UVA, or L’ville). I don’t know if it’ll happen today, but you never know. I just think our roster is too talented to not put at least one more good game together for a W against a good team. It’ll be a nice moment when it happens.

It won’t move the needle at all as far as keeping Red goes because I highly doubt we are going to meet the criteria of “meaningful games in March” that JW set as the expectation.

I’ve said before it’s the most Syracuse thing for us to go on a run and make what seems like a simple decision not as simple. I would actually be surprised if it’s all chalk to end the season resulting in the simple firing of Red.

I will never root for us to lose. The question I originally replied to asked about the goodwill Red would get for a win. I do not want more goodwill for Red.

It’s like when I wash the dishes. My wife wants the dishes washed and is grateful they’re washed; I’m not earning any extra goodwill for washing them.

It's a matter of sample size. We have 2.75 years of sample and what happens the next 0.25 of a season does not undo what we have consistently seen from Red. Game day coaching hasn't been ok or average or just a bit below SU standards, it's been horrible. A lucky run to the tournament doesn't change that, so if we want to do it consistently and not luck into it, we need change. The good news is that I think most SU fans have been able to analyze games and grasp this so they'll know a run would be fool's gold. Not all, but most.

If I’m being realistic I just hope to keep this game within 12 points. Who knows though. We could have a game like we didn’t in Vegas where we played well minus the Iowa State game. Also I’m not huge on Hubert Davis. He’s not anything special as a coach by UNC standards. He beat them a couple years ago at the Dome. Point being no clue what to expect but if I was a betting man I think we lose this game by 12+

About as much as the ND win got Greg Robinson. That being said, I’d obviously love to see him & the team beat a ranked foe on national tv.
