Concerned with the O line. New Coordinators ironing out wrinkles as we go so Im not as optimistic. We will get better as the season progresses. If we continue to have a season.

As much as I want them to play, cancelling the season would probably help the program with new systems etc.

I know UGA is selling 25% capacity. Seats go to pecking order based on donor status, so even if other schools are doing same, tickets might be pretty hard to pick up.
Personally, 25% of 92,000 is still a pretty big crowd. They are running track in Europe with 5,000 max and seem to be headed into 2nd weekend okay.

25% capacity is more than reasonable in these monstrous stadiums. In Syracuse we would be talking 12,000 fans, which is half the size of a crowd we would get for playing Colgate.
You could populate your seating sections as people buy tickets so that families can be socially distant from each other. You could also make a policy that you can't make group purchases of more than 6 tickets. Easy peezy, lemon squeezy

In the end, with covid-1% in upstate it is gonna seen like a kick in the nuts. Again. It's all about the lack of leadership at the top in the NCAA and each conference acting and making decisions as if they were their own entity. And it took covid to ultimately expose this, something we suspected all along.

Based on what Babers said, we are already missing a few OL. He didn't mention who but that was concerning.

I think the empty stands add a very interesting dynamic to the game collegiately. That’s a huge equalizer, any road game is going to feel like a scrimmage of sorts.
If the games get played, I think we’ll see a lot of interesting results.

This will give us an advantage the first couple weeks before we give opposing coaches any tape. Prepping for a new defense is harder than a new offense. You ca. Always run base defense. Offense is a little harder. Plus we have a lot of individual talent on defense. We just need the offense to show up.

Agreed, and I’ll add that our 2 best DTs are returning, along with a DE & OLB (KJ & Richards) that are arguably as good as the 2 DE we lost. Plus the fact we return Dre, Trill & Iffy in the secondary while upgrading size/speed at LB...

I am sad to say this is the first time in my life I am not excited for the college football season.

It’s due to the fact that I’ve only missed one SU football home game in 29 years and I travel to several away games each season.

It just won’t be the same sitting at home every weekend watching the games on television with no fans in the stands. COVID19 Sucks !!!

I was in this boat until I decided to see this year like a glorified exhibition season. Players can play without losing eligibility. New systems. Dino is not getting fired after a weird year like this. Low stakes.

Just roll it out and see what happens.
